Dr Antonia Porter

Dr Antonia Porter is a Civil Mediation Council Accredited mediator and Lecturer at the University of Kent, with more than 20 years' experience as an advocate in the criminal courts.

Her professional and academic work has involved supporting people through complex and challenging situations, requiring careful listening, clear communication and an ability to identify the key issues underlying a dispute.

As a mediator, Antonia brings a calm, empathetic and impartial approach. She has particular interest in disputes involving breakdowns in trust, neighbour disagreements and other conflicts where communication has become difficult.

Drawing on her advocacy, research and teaching experience, Antonia creates a structured and supportive environment in which participants can be heard, better understand each other's concerns and explore practical ways forward.
