Morton Thornton

Morton Thornton is a PhD researcher at Kent Law School whose work focuses on analytic jurisprudence, philosophy of language, natural language processing and legal interpretation.

Alongside his research, Morton contributes to legal education at the University of Kent. He has taught on the Foundation Year programme, convened Law and Argument and serves as Chief Coordinator of the Kent Law School Student Outdoor Clerk Scheme.

Morton has also supported students involved in mediation, negotiation, mooting and mock trial advocacy activities. Through his work with Kent Law School, he contributes to the educational and student-development work that sits alongside Kent Mediation Service and its commitment to developing knowledge and practical understanding of mediation.
